The farm
A strictly family-run farm, Azienda Agricola Russo is located in Podere La Metocchina, in a hilly area in the municipality of Comune di Suvereto. Although it has only been bottling its wines since 1998, its roots are much further in the past, anchored to a long family tradition that goes back four generations.
Our farm gives new life to the traditions of all the old farming concerns: animal husbandry; producing cured meats, cheeses, and bread in quantities for family use or slightly more, and farming fruit, vegetables, and cereals. This makes us one of the few examples of a practically complete farm on the territory.

Our activity
The heart of the farm
One of the main occupations is olive cultivation, which covers an area of five whole hectares. Growing on these lands are about 1,600 olive trees, tended carefully and with dedication to guarantee a high-quality production of extra-virgin olive oil.
In addition to olive cultivation, the farm also engages in raising livestock, with particular attention to the Frisona breed, known for its excellent milk production. Currently, the breeding farm has about 70 cows, whose fresh, rich milk is brought every day to a famed dairy in Follonica, where it is transformed into quality dairy products
We are most renowned for our vine cultivation. The vineyards cover an area of about 12 hectares, and these vines, thanks to careful grape selection and traditional winemaking processes, yield prized wines. Expressing the territory and a passion for oenology, these wines are made for direct sale to the final consumer, and for distribution at wine shops and restaurants that appreciate its quality and authenticity.
