Today, there are four wines produced by our family Business: a white, Pietrasca, and three reds: Ceppitaio, Sassobucato and Barbicone. The names of this wines are derived from the names of localities within our estate, and surrounding vicinity.

Ceppitaio is our basic red wine, made from a blend consisting principally of Sangiovese with some Colorino, Ciliegiolo, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon; the name “Ceppitaio” is that of a small hill within our property on which are found many “ceppite”, wild plants that grove in uncultivated land. It has a bright purple color, to drink at 18°C, and it is a wine for all meal. |
